The 2nd Soviet Mine, located within the Partizanskoe deposit in Dalnegorsk, Primorsky Krai, Russia, is a notable underground operation set within a rugged mountainous terrain. Mineralogically, the mine is world-famous among collectors for producing high-quality specimens of galena, sphalerite, quartz, and calcite, alongside unusual silicates like apophyllite and manganese-rich axinite. Historically, large-scale mining in the wider Dalnegorsk district originated in the late 19th century under private industrial initiatives and later expanded significantly during the Soviet era to secure vital industrial metals.
