The Qingwan mine, located near Wujita village in Zhuji City, Shaoxing Prefecture, Zhejiang Province, China, is a mineral locality known for producing distinctive fluorite specimens, including botryoidal yellow clusters. Geologically, the deposit is situated within the volcanic-sedimentary sequences of the southeast coastal metallogenic belt, where hydrothermal mineralization occurred along localized fault structures and fracture zones. Low-temperature hydrothermal fluids circulating through these host rocks deposited fluorite, often associated with calcite, in open cavities and veins. Small-scale mining and specimen extraction at the locality became notable in the early 2020s, with a significant find of high-quality yellow and purple fluorite specimens occurring mid-2022, supplying the international mineral market through ongoing localized extraction.
