Fluorite with Barite
specimen number:
4971296
location:
Minerva mine #1, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA
description: A glassy gem yellow fluorite crystals 6.0 cm on one edge set attractively on a white barite matrix with minor calcite. This shows bluish color zoning around the edges of the cube. Small crystals of chalcopyrite are floating as inclusions throughout. This is in excellent condition. The color contrast between the fluorite and the white barite makes this extremely pretty. The specimen comes with a custom display base.
