description: Beautiful large cabinet combination piece from this classic old locality. Sharp cubic crystals of fluorite to 8.0 cm on edge are covering the top of an 18.0 x 15.0 x 7.5 cm fluorite matrix. Pale yellowish near transparent terminated prismatic crystals of calcite to 1.5 cm in length are scattered throughout. Minor chalcopyrite present as well. This one really sparkles nice with the tiny calcite crystals. The color is purple grading into a yellow center. Very minimal micro-chipping present, this mainly confined to the fluorite crystal at the far right of the piece, on its lower left edge. One or two other areas with very slight micro-cleaving present, overall for an Illinois fluorite of the size I think in excellent condition. Shipping weight: 5.64 pounds. Ex Tom Donnelly collection.
