Fluorite with Calcite
specimen number:
1711267
location:
Minerva mine #1 mine, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA
description: A pretty combination specimen showing deep amber color highly translucent cubic crystals of fluorite hosting colorless lustrous scalenohedral crystals of calcite to 1.3 cm in size. Some of the calcite crystals are cleaved, this is very typical of these from this locality. Overall I think this piece in good condition. Beautiful when backlit.
