Fluorite-with-Calcite
specimen number:
2051227
location:
Ozark Mahoning Co. East Green-North Green Mine, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA
description: Very unusual an incredibly aesthetic bluish yellow transparent bar shaped fluorite crystal almost 5.0 cm in length coming off a crystallized cluster of fluorite which is mostly coated with scalenohedral colorless calcite crystals to 3.5 cm in length. Complete all-around. Very minimal micro-chipping present, some cleaving to the calcite as seen. Still I think a wonderful and unusual example. Measures 11.5 x 8.0 x 3.0 cm. Ex Phil Martin collection.
