Fluorite with Calcite
specimen number:
9302192
location:
Xianghuapu Mine, Chenzhou, Hunan, China
description:
A cluster of gemmy green lustrous cubic fluorite crystals, the largest measuring to 2.5 cm on edge, hosting smaller colorless crystals of lustrous calcite. In good condition with very minimal micro-damage present. Crystallized all around. The specimen comes with several previous labels, none of these with the correct locality information. I think that this piece came out in the early days of the when the Chinese material was coming onto the market and localities were not so certain at the time.
Size: 6.0 x 5.8 x 2.5 cm (small-cabinet)
