Fluorite with Chalcopyrite
specimen number:
1505327
location:
Derbyshire, England, UK
description: Colorless transparent cubic crystals of fluorite to 1.5 cm on a diagonal covering most all of the top and sides of this 7.0 x 5.5 x 4.0 cm matrix. Sprinkled with bright micro chalcopyrite crystals, this only shows very minimal micro-chipping and I think is in very good condition. Nice old-time piece. Previous data card states that this was originally in the collection of the University of Ghent. Locality on the data card says "unknown", but this is for sure from Derbyshire. Acquired by Mr. Vochten in 1998, this could have come from either the Millclose or Ladywash mines. Shipping weight: 0.48 pounds. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
Size: 7.0 x 5.5 x 4.0 cm (small-cabinet)
Collection: Renaud Vochten
