Fluorite with Sphalerite
specimen number:
4061003
location:
Ozark Mahoning mine, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA
description:
Very neat old time specimen with gemmy purple to yellow amber cubic crystals of fluorite to 3.0 cm on edge as a last generation crystal growth over previous brecciated and etched yellow crystallized fluorite with lustrous black sphalerite. Very minimal cleaving present, overall I think in very good condition. Geologically this is quite neat and I think very pretty.
Size: 13.0 x 10.0 x 4.5 cm (cabinet)
