In 1990 a pocket zone of this unusual iridescent galena was collected at this Viburnum Trend mine. Unusual and quite attractive, this shows good octahedral crystals to 4.0 cm in size over the top of a 11.5 x 6.5 x 3.0 cm matrix. In very fine condition. Color likely due to ground water, not a bornite coating or anything like that. Previous labels give the locality as Sweetwater, but this is definitely West Fork. I saw the pockets myself. Shipping weight: 1.45 pounds. Ex Charles Noll collection.
