Galena
specimen number:
9243057
location:
Sweetwater mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA
description: Bright lustrous cubic crystals of galena to 4.0 cm across on matrix. In very good condition. This one slightly unique for the mining district as it shows small octahedral second-generation crystals up on the first generation cubic crystals. This paragenisis not often seen here, the cubic crystal form for galena almost always coming last.
