Excellent flattened twinned crystals of galena to 1.5 cm in size standing up nice and free from matrix over the top of a 7.0 x 5.0 x 3.0 cm matrix. An elongated crystal is lined across the center of this cluster, this is undamaged and naturally crystallized. Overall the piece is an outstanding condition. Minor dolomite present. Attractive iridescent luster is present due to micro pyrite. Small white dolomite crystals are scattered throughout. This type of twinning is quite unusual and the mining district, this is a very good example. Shipping weight: 0.33 pounds. Collected during the winter of 2015.
