description:
This mine in the Old Lead Belt Southeast Missouri operated for almost 100 years. Specimens however are rarely if ever seen available for sale. This neat old piece shows tiny stacked crystals of galena forming clusters to 0.5 cm in size scattered across a crystallized dolomite matrix with colorless twinned cerussite crystals to 0.3 cm in size. Very minimal chipping present, still I think quite good for the locality.
