specimen number:
7201164
location:
Casteel No. 35 Mine, Viburnum Trend, Iron Co., Missouri, USA
description: Non-lustrous octahedral crystals of galena to almost 3.0 cm across set beautifully upon a 9.0 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm quartz crystal coated breccia matrix. Iridescent purple crystals of chalcopyrite to 0.4 cm present as well. This sits perfectly by itself for display and is in very good condition with only minimal micro-chipping to several of the chalcopyrite crystals. While not lustrous, the crystals are quite large for this habit from the mining district and look nice with the iridescent chalcopyrite. Shipping weight: 0.48 pounds.
Size: 9.0 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm (small-cabinet)
Collection: Viburnum Trend
