Extremely fine large cabinet example from this old upper Mississippi Valley deposit locality. Semi-lustrous cubic crystals of galena measuring to 16.0 cm across are set on one edge of this 29.0 x 26.0 x 13.5 cm matrix. Crystallized marcasite present, this forming shallow casts after previous galena crystals. Minimal chipping present, considering the size and age of this piece sits in terrific condition. Shipping weight: 28 pounds. Ex Charles Noll collection.
