Incredibly interesting geological sample from this unique feature in southern Illinois. This consists of Grant Instrusive Breccia, the piece measuring 12.5 x 8.5 x 0.7 cm in size. One face of the slab has been lacquered to bring out the color and textures. This is Permian in age, with the amphibole dated at 272.1 and the phlogopite at 272.7 million years old. This was and placed at over 550 degrees celsius. Shipping weight: 0.46 pounds.
