description:
Sharp octahedral crystals of what were once magnetite to almost 1.5 cm in size, these now replaced by hematite, in a cluster without matrix. Slight chipping on the backside of the piece, this still in very good condition. The specimen is pre-1940 and comes with an antique label as seen at the end of the video. On the back of this label it is noted that Mr Tousley acquired the specimen from W Scott Lewis. This dealer was active in Hollywood, California during the 1930s.
