Hematite with Rutile (1736)

description:
A cluster of intergrown platy hematite crystals, in almost parallel orientation. Individual crystals are up to about 1.6 cm. All are lustrous and show flat broad transparent crystals or red rutile in epitaxic orientations. A nice example of this classic association. The largest rutile is 0.4 cm long and wide.
