Classic Italian specimen with a glassy gemmy crystal of humite measuring 0.4 cm in size that are small shallow pocket with green crystals of mica. The specimen comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video and dates to the early 20th century.

Humite from Mount Vesuvius in Italy occurs in contact metamorphic rocks formed where hot magma altered surrounding limestone and dolomite. These conditions produced a variety of magnesium rich minerals including humite. The mineral typically appears as small brown to orange crystals associated with minerals such as magnetite, spinel, and phlogopite. Specimens from Vesuvius are well known among collectors because the volcano has produced many unusual minerals from its metamorphic and volcanic environments.
