Botryoidal crystallized smithsonite covering the top of this thin matrix, this in turn coated with white micro crystalline hydrozincite. An old number painted on the bottom side of the specimen tells me that at one time this was part of the collection of the University of Arizona. An interesting large cabinet specimen from New Mexico.
