Around 2004 there was a major find in China of what still are the world's finest examples of this species. Most of the find, I believe consisting of around 500 or 600 total specimens, were loose groupings of reddish-brown prismatic crystals without matrix. This current example is extremely unusual and quite wonderful for the species being a matrix example that displays beautifully. The prominent crystal grouping measures 10.0 cm in height. This is in super condition, one could not ask for better.  Lustrous black paakonkoenite is quite prevalent on the matrix.  This is a very rare mineral.
