Lengenbachite is a rare thallium lead arsenic sulfide mineral that occurs in low temperature hydrothermal deposits. It was first described from the Lengenbach Quarry in the Binn Valley of Valais, Switzerland, from which it takes its name.

The Lengenbach Quarry in the Binn Valley of Valais, Switzerland is a famous mineral locality known for rare thallium bearing sulfosalt minerals. The quarry works a dolomite deposit that contains thin mineralized layers where numerous uncommon species occur. Systematic collecting and scientific study have been carried out there for many years under controlled conditions. The locality is well known among mineral collectors and researchers for producing many rare mineral species found in few other places.
