location:
New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Arizona, USA
description: Excellent classic pseudomorph specimen for this important Arizona locality. A blocky crystal of what was once azurite 2.7 cm across is perched nicely upon a bulbous glistening deep green crystallized malachite matrix. The azurite crystal has been replaced by chatoyant crystallized malachite. Several smaller replaced crystals are present around the edges of the large malachite grouping. This measures 6.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm overall. This is from a pocket found in 1987.
Size: 6.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm (small-cabinet)
