Meliphanite is a rare beryllium bearing silicate mineral that occurs in alkaline igneous rocks and related pegmatites rich in unusual elements. It was first described from the Langesundsfjord region of Norway, a classic locality for rare minerals formed in nepheline syenite and associated pegmatites. This is a good rich example and comes with an old label from Minerals Unlimited.
