Mimetite
specimen number:
1501143
location:
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
description:
The top side of this 10.5 x 6.5 x 1.5 cm matrix is richly scattered velvety yellow botryoidal crystallized mimetite. In excellent condition with good color. The data card that comes with the specimen gives the locality as the Ojuela mine. Based on the color of the mimetite and the date of acquisition, in 1971, this very likely could be from Congreso Leon Mine. Regardless, this is a very pretty specimen. Shipping weight: 0.28 pounds. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
Size: 10.5 x 6.5 x 1.5 cm (cabinet)
