Mimetite var. Campylite
specimen number:
4521121
location:
Dry Gill mine, Caldbeck Fells, Cumbria, England, UK
description: A wonderful example of this British classic, a thin matrix completely covered on top with rounded crystals of mimetite measuring to almost 1.0 cm in size. This is the variety known as campylite. Micro-chipping is present, this still in really good condition overall as seen in the video. I find this piece extremely aesthetic. Collected in the late 1970s.
