Colorless blocky crystals of nepheline to 1.0 cm in size across the front of matrix with minor leucite. A good cabinet sized example for the species from this famous Italian locality.

Monte Somma and Mount Vesuvius in Italy form a classic volcanic complex that is one of the most famous mineral localities in the world. The area has been studied since the 18th century and is known for minerals formed in volcanic fumaroles and cavities within lava. These minerals crystallized from hot gases and fluids during and after eruptions. The locality has produced a wide variety of mineral species, including many rare and type minerals.
