description:
Blocky colorless crystals of orthoclase measuring to 1.5 cm in size covering a quartz matrix. In good condition. This is sometimes referred to by the variety known as valencianite. At one time the species was thought to be adularia or albite. They have since found to be orthoclase. Note that the previous label that comes with the specimen gives an erroneous locality.
