Salmon colored crystallized orthoclase across the front of matrix with calcite. This is the variety of the species often called adularia. In great condition.

The Adventure Mine in Ontonagon County, Michigan, was one of the early copper mines developed on the Keweenaw Peninsula. Mining began around 1850 and focused on native copper found in fissure veins cutting the basalt flows of the Portage Lake Lava Series. The mine was operated through a series of underground shafts and drifts that followed the copper bearing veins deep into the volcanic rock. Production declined in the late 1800s and the mine eventually closed, but it remains part of the historic copper mining heritage of the Keweenaw region.
