Plattnerite with Calcite, Rosasite
specimen number:
3151384
location:
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
description:
An exceptional example for this mineral, with black crystallized plattnerite across the front of this very shapely crystallized calcite matrix with minor rosasite. This is one of the finer examples of the species that I can remember ever having in terms that this normally unattractive mineral is actually showing in an attractive and aesthetic specimen. Previously had been in the collection of Harold Urish.
