Large spectacular combination piece from this important mining district showing platy crystal groupings of what were once pyrrhotite to 7.0 cm in size, these now replaced by small micro pyrite crystals. These are set nicely upon a plate of white rhombohedral calcite crystals, some of these to 2.5 cm. Lustrous black sphalerite and brassy chalcopyrite are present as well. This is an outstanding condition and measures 24.0 x 12.0 x 6.0 cm in size. Displays very nicely. Shipping weight: 4.5 pounds. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
