Pyrite-with-Chalcocite, Quartz
specimen number:
3631019
location:
Black Pine mine, Granite Co., Montana, USA
description: Well crystallized pyrite was never terribly common at this locality. This example shows sharp crystals to over 3.0 cm across and coated by gray chalcocite. This across the top of matrix with minor quartz. Very minimal micro-chipping present as seen, still I think in great condition.
