Quartz
specimen number:
1114280
location:
Graniteville, Iron Co., Missouri, USA
description:
Unusual specimen from the Precambrian granite in Southeast Missouri. Specimens are rarely seen from here as the cavities just do not grow and for many crystals. This is in exceptionally large smoky quartz crystal grouping, glassy and mostly gemmy. In very good condition, the one side of the face at first appearing damaged is actually completely natural. Quite rare.
Size: 8.0 x 4.0 x 3.8 cm (small-cabinet)
