Very attractive large cabinet example of this Mexican classic with glassy gem crystals of purple quartz measuring to 4.5 cm in size coming off of a flat thin matrix. This is in super condition all around. This is the variety of the species known as an amethyst. The bottom of the matrix is covered by an unknown white mineral in needlelike crystal forms.
