Deer Hill, located in Stow within Oxford County, Maine, is a classic American locality situated within the Deer Hill Mineral Reservation of the White Mountain National Forest. Geologically, the site features a complex granitic pegmatite containing numerous pockets where hydrothermal fluids allowed for the growth of well-formed quartz crystals.
