location:
Casteel No. 35 Mine, Viburnum Trend, Iron Co., Missouri, USA
description:
Front side of this 15.0 x 7.5 x 5.5 cm matrix is covered with glistening colorless to slightly gray sparkling micro quartz crystals. These are forming hollow casts to 2.0 cm across after a previous unknown mineral. I have seen specimens of these with the previous mineral in tact, at various times I have seen chalcopyrite or pyrite. Galena could also be an option in this case. In great condition. Sits beautifully by itself for display on a sawn base. Shipping weight: 1.51 pounds.
Size: 15.0 x 7.5 x 5.5 cm (large-cabinet)
