The top side of this 14.0 x 8.5 x 2.5 cm matrix is covered with sparkling colorless quartz crystals. Some of these are showing casts after a previous sulfide mineral to 2.2 cm in length. At one time we thought these after Galena, however later specimens have shown the quartz capping large chalcopyrite crystals or pyrite crystals that were still present. It could be any of the three. Small iridescent chalcopyrite crystals present as well. The matrix is been shaped with a trim saw. In great condition. Unique and neat. Shipping weight: 1.23 pounds.
