description:
Interesting crystallized quartz casts measuring to 1.4 cm in size on matrix with crystallized pyrite. These are often labeled as forming after now gone galena crystals. I am not certain that this is true however. I have seen examples from this mine where quartz is forming partially over the top of chalcopyrite crystals, and that could be what we are seen here.
