Quartz-Hematite-after-Ilvaite
specimen number:
3841014
location:
Bessember claim, North Bend, King Co., Washington, USA
description:
Classic material from the state of Washington, this a prismatic crystal of what was once ilvaite now replaced by hematite and coated with quartz. In great condition all around. In the past these have been labeled as forming after epidote. I do believe this to be after an ilvaite crystal.
Size: 9.5 x 3.2 x 1.5 cm (cabinet)
