description: The Ruschita Mine, located near Rusca Montana in Caras-Severin County, Romania, is situated within the Poiana Rusca Mountains of the Southern Carpathians. Geologically, the deposit consists of massive epimetamorphic marble lenses formed during the Devonian period from ancient coral reefs, which later underwent intense regional dynamo-thermal metamorphism within a complex tectonic setting.
Beautiful large matrix piece with glassy gemmy crystals of colorless quartz to 2.5 cm in height across the top of a matrix mostly coated with micro epidote crystals. Minor calcite is present. In good condition with just slight minimal damage present.
