description:
A beautiful large crystallized plate of hematite hosting gemmy glassy double terminated crystals of quartz measuring to 1.8 cm in size. Colorless crystals of dolomite are scattered throughout. Classic material for this old British locality. The specimen comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video. The original date of acquisition was 1911, however this came out of a collection by the name of Hoyer which was acquired in 1893. The specimen certainly dates to the late 19th century. In really good condition. Small crystals of calcite are present as well. This is crystallized all around.
Size: 23.0 x 22.0 x 2.5 cm (large-cabinet)
