Rhodochrosite
specimen number:
1113630
location:
Oppu mine, Nishimeya-mura, Naka-Tsugaru-gun, Aomori, Japan
description: One of the finer examples of rhodochrosite from this classic old Japanese locality that I have had the pleasure to see and hold. This large plate is completely covered on top by bubbly brilliant red translucent botryoidal crystallized rhodochrosite. Crystallized on the backside as well. I think in very fine condition. A gorgeous large cabinet example.
Size: 27.0 x 20.0 x 5.0 cm (large-cabinet)
