description:
A wonderful example of crystallized rhodochrosite from this old and famous locality. Sparkling pink crystals are covering the top of a hematite matrix and hosting a grouping of white bladed barite crystal 0.7 cm in size. Good examples of the species are incredibly rare from this locality. Examples are rarely seen available on the market today. The specimen at one time was part of the collections of John Brottlund and Don Olson. Mr. Brottlund was responsible for bringing out a large majority of specimens from this old locality. The specimen was on public display at the Cincinnati, 1990 and Denver, 1997 shows.
