Attractive light pink crystal groupings of rhodochrosite measuring to 2.2 cm in size, these appearing to be forming replacements after scalenohedral calcite, across the top of a crystallized quartz matrix. This is in good condition. Very fine for this famous mining district and species. The specimen at one time was part of the collection of famed Mexican mineral collector Miguel Romero and comes with a label stating such. Good specimens from this mining district are not often seen available on the market today.
