Beautiful translucent lustrous red crystals of rhodochrosite measuring to 1.2 cm in size across the top of this crystallized quartz matrix with pyrite, tennantite, barite, and brochantite. In excellent condition, the quality is very high for the species from this mining district. Several previous labels come with the specimen, one of these noting that the specimen was collected in 1909.
