Classic California specimen consisting of a grouping of white bladed albite crystals, this hosting lustrous black crystals of schorl to 4.5 cm in height and gemmy orange crystals of spessartine to 0.7 cm in size. In terrific condition. Collected by Louis Spaulding. The specimen comes with two previous labels noting that this was illustrated in The Mineralogical Record, May, June, 2013 issue, page 59.
