The old label refers to Kisbanya as the locality. This is the old Hungarian name for what is now known as the Herja Mine in Maramures County, Romania, is a historic mining locality that worked rich hydrothermal veins containing lead, zinc, silver, and gold. Mining in the area dates back several centuries and expanded during the Austro Hungarian period. The deposit is hosted in volcanic rocks and produced minerals such as galena, sphalerite, and numerous sulfosalt species. The locality is well known among mineral collectors for fine crystallized specimens from these complex ore veins.

Semseyite is a lead antimony sulfide mineral that belongs to the sulfosalt group. It was first described from the Herja Mine in Maramures County, Romania and was named in honor of the Hungarian mineral collector Andor von Semsey.
