Siderite after Fluorite

Classic Cornish specimen consisting of what was once a fluorite crystal 1.6 cm on edge, this now replaced by lustrous crystals of siderite, and then set nicely on matrix. This is in terrific condition. This is ex Clarence Bement collection, note in the video an arrow on the bottom of the piece. This would have been applied by Louis Gratacap sometime during the 1920s when he curated the collection of the American Museum of Natural History. The arrow is to show Museum personnel which direction to display the specimen.
