Smithsonite
specimen number:
1501170
location:
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
description:
The front side of this 16.0 x 16.0 x 9.0 cm matrix is mostly covered I translucent to transparent prismatic crystals of terminated smithsonite measuring as large as 1.2 cm in length. Very minimal micro-chipping and cleaving present, I think this is in excellent condition considering the size and number of crystals present. This does sit nicely by itself for display. Very good large cabinet display quality example for this type of crystallization for the species from Tsumeb. Shipping weight: 7.03 pounds. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
Size: 16.0 x 16.0 x 9.0 cm (large-cabinet)
