Sparkling colorless crystal groupings of smithsonite measuring to 0.5 cm in size scattered richly across the front of matrix. In great condition, this is excellent for the species from this locality normally known for its world-class wulfenite specimens. Good smithsonite like this is rarely seen available from here. One of the labels notes that this was collected by Glenn Miller around the year 2000.

The Glove Mine in Santa Cruz County, Arizona, is a historic lead and zinc mining locality that was worked during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The deposit occurs in carbonate rocks and consists of hydrothermal vein and replacement mineralization. Mining was carried out through underground workings that followed the ore zones. The mine is known among collectors for secondary minerals formed in the oxidized zones, including colorful lead and zinc species.
